I like monkeys, penguins, and happy songs about monkeys and penguins. I always wished I could think of more interesting things to say in situations like this. Happens all the time in first week of uni courses, where the tutors make you introduce yourself, and I dont want to say "Hi, I'm a fourth year, and I do this subject cause I think it's interesting", because everyone else is saying the same thing, but what the hell else is there to say to complete strangers?

"Hi, I failed first year, so now I'm doing a third year course in my fourth year of uni. That means I'm older than all of you. I ran into a goalpost last year trying to save a goal in soccer. Which possibly explains why I'm failing things. I like bands most of you hate, and I hate that you like some of the bands I like, because I dont think you appreciate them as much as they deserve."
